A day at Crowder County Park provides a variety of educational and recreational activities for all ages. Park staff offer interpretive, hands-on programs for all ages and interests, as well as outreach programs for organized community groups. Crowder Park opened in 1998 to serve nearby communities. The park’s 33 acres offer a closeness with nature along with the accessibility of maintained trails.

PICNIC OPPORTUNITIES
Three covered shelters and several other picnic areas are located throughout the park (Heron Shelter, Robin Shelter, and Cardinal Shelter). Each of the covered shelters has a charcoal grill with restroom facilities and playgrounds nearby. Shelters are available from 9 a.m. until closing time. Shelter reservations can be made online at wakegov.com/parks/crowder. Unreserved shelters may be used free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Users are required to leave the shelter and surrounding areas clean and undamaged. Please follow rules posted on each shelter.
