WHAT AN IEP ACTUALLY IS
Not a job. Not a franchise. Your own business, on our platform.
An Independent Event Provider is a local business owner who delivers yard game rentals, runs cornhole tournaments, and simply just makes events better in their community. You are the seller and the service provider on every booking. Triangle Lawn Games is the marketplace behind you — the brand people search for, the site they book on, the card processor, and the support line when something goes sideways.
That division of labor is the whole idea. We stay focused on the handful of things we can do better than anyone — national marketing, technology, brand, and back-office support — so you can stay focused on making every event in your city a great one.
YOU BRING
The local business
Your own equipment
Your prices, your service area, your calendar and booking limits
Delivery, setup, pickup, teardown, and tournament facilitation
Day-to-day customer communication
Any helpers, drivers, or facilitators you choose to hire — and there’s nothing stopping you from bringing family and friends into it
New equipment and services as you spot demand — themed party packages, field day setups, corporate picnic packs, whatever your market keeps asking for
Third-party vendor partnerships that let you say yes to a whole event instead of one piece of it — DJs, tables and chairs, tents, photo booths, golf simulators, inflatables, catering, and on and on
Local outreach — venues, planners, schools, breweries, HOAs
TRIANGLE LAWN GAMES BRINGS
The demand and the machinery
National brand, marketing, and paid advertising
Your location page and a set-up Google Business Profile
Booking, inventory, and payment platform with a pre-loaded storefront
Payment processing, payouts, and 1099 tax documentation
A TLG business email address and virtual phone line
Wholesale equipment pricing and manufacturer relationships
Onboarding, the IEP Success Guide, and a private provider mastermind
Customer-support escalation when you need backup
WHAT IT ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE
A lifestyle business, built around the life you already have.
This is the gig economy with something solid underneath it. Most events land on evenings and weekends, which means most IEPs build this alongside whatever else they’re doing — and a lot of them pull family and friends in to help run the weekends. It’s a good deal more fun than driving strangers around.
It fits around your schedule
You set your calendar, your booking limits, and your lead times. Block out a vacation week. Say no to a Sunday. The work shows up where you make room for it, not the other way around.
Real money for hours you weren’t using
Weekend afternoons turn into paid deliveries and tournaments. Start small with eight or ten games, keep your day job, and let bookings decide how fast you add inventory.
An experienced partner in your corner
You’re running your own business, but you’re not figuring it out alone. Six-plus years of playbooks, a support team that picks up, and a private mastermind of other IEPs who’ve already solved whatever you just ran into.
THE ECONOMICS
You keep 60% of every booking. It goes up from there.
Your share of net booking revenue rises with your market’s monthly volume. There is no fee to join, no monthly cost to stay, and no required purchase from us.
Plus 100% of every tip. Your share is calculated on net collected revenue — after sales tax and refunds. Third-party vendor bookings you generate (DJs, photo booths, and similar partners) follow the base rate on the applicable net amount. These tiers are a rate formula based on your market’s actual monthly net collected revenue — not a target, a forecast, or a promise of earnings.
No franchise fee
This is not a franchise. Nothing is charged for the right to operate under the brand.
No sign-up or monthly fee
No entry fee, no renewal fee, no platform subscription. We earn only from covered bookings.
No required purchase
You choose your equipment and your suppliers. Buying from TLG is optional convenience, not a condition.
No exclusivity trap
You may use other platforms, serve other customers, and market your own business.
WHY CUSTOMERS BOOK US
Four standards that make your phone ring.
The brand you’re stepping into has been earned one on-time positive event at a time. These are the promises we make to every customer — and the reason inbound bookings land in your market instead of a stranger’s garage.
Vetted local providers
Every IEP completes screening, an interview, and a background check before a single order routes to them.
Event-ready equipment
Count and inspect, clean and dry, safety check, repair or remove, final order check — before every single delivery.
Protected bookings
Orders booked and paid through TLG get centralized support and the platform’s insurance protection, so nobody is exposed on event day.
Real communication
A 48-hour check-in before every event, honest updates when plans move, and a support team behind you when they do.
CHOOSE YOUR SCALE
Start with a garage full of games. Grow as far as you want to.
There’s no single way to build with Triangle Lawn Games. Most IEPs start with eight to ten popular games and let incoming orders help cash-flow the next purchase. Where you go after that is your call.
PATH ONE
Run one local
location
The most accessible way in. You operate a single location from home or a storage unit, own your equipment, use your own vehicle, and stay close to every customer relationship.
Handle your own quotes, bookings, and deliveries
Set your local pricing and delivery radius
Add games as bookings justify them
PATH TWO
Build a multi-location team
Expand across a metro with several storage points and a bench of operators who fulfill orders for you — better coverage, shorter drives, more capacity on peak weekends.
Recruit, train, and pay your own operators
Route orders by location and availability
Chase corporate and venue accounts at scale
PATH THREE
Build a regional event company
Add a customer service and operations coordinator so you’re not answering every call — and spend your time on new locations, vendor partnerships, and developing leaders on your team.
Layer in third-party vendor partnerships
Expand into nearby metros with TLG
Build a company, not just a calendar
FROM APPLICATION TO FIRST BOOKING
Six steps, about thirty days.
No drawn-out hiring gauntlet. We move quickly for the right people, and we’re honest early if a market isn’t the right fit. Here’s the whole path, start to finish.
1
Apply
Two minutes on the form below. Tell us your city, your vehicle, your storage situation, and why this appeals to you.
2
Send us a short video
Record a few minutes on your phone — no production value required. Tell us who you are, why this interests you, what a first-class customer experience means to you, and how you’d introduce yourself picking up the phone with a customer.
3
Interview
If the video lands, we’ll set up a Google Meet with the TLG team to walk through the model, the economics, and your plan for the market.
4
Background check & agreement
Background check, photo ID, proof of your business entity and insurance, then the IEP Marketplace Agreement.
5
Onboarding & setup
Your storefront, dashboard training, TLG email and phone line, Google Business Profile, delivery zones, and starter inventory.
6
Go live
A full practice run — mock order, packed equipment, test tournament in Scoreholio — then your page goes live and bookings start routing to you.
WHAT IT TAKES
The practical checklist
Your signed agreement holds the formal requirements. Practically, the strongest candidates arrive with all of this.
A valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance
A reliable vehicle — ideally a mid-size SUV or larger with fold-down seats
A dry, secure, accessible place to store equipment. A garage, a shed, or a rented storage unit all work — apartment-based providers do fine
The ability to lift and carry 40+ pounds
Availability for event windows, including some evenings and weekends
Comfort with everyday business tech — email, calendar, a booking platform, a smartphone
A registered business — an LLC or a sole proprietorship both work. TLG partners with businesses, not individuals, so this one isn’t optional; your accountant can advise on which structure fits you
Workers’ compensation coverage if you decide to carry it — TLG expects to carry the general liability coverage for bookings made through the platform
This fits you if
- You’re self-motivated and genuinely like being your own boss
- You’re organized, responsive, and reliable without someone checking
- You’re sales-minded and enjoy meeting people in your community
- You can take a last-minute change without letting it show
- You want to build something, not just pick up shifts
This probably isn’t for you if
- You want a fixed clock-in, clock-out job with an hourly wage
- You’d rather avoid phone calls, texts, and customer conversations
- Inconvenient requests and schedule changes genuinely frustrate you
- You struggle to stay organized without close oversight
- You’re not interested in delegating or growing over time
WHEN WE’RE OPENING
Markets currently accepting applications.
Our strongest markets are metro areas of at least 250,000 people — enough weddings, corporate events, schools and neighborhoods to keep a calendar full.
Don’t see your city? Apply anyway. We open new markets every month, and we build the next wave around the people who raise their hand first.
STRAIGHT ANSWERS
Questions people ask before they apply
Is this a franchise?
No. There is no franchise fee, no required upfront investment, and no protected territory. Triangle Lawn Games keeps ownership of its brand, systems, and platform, and partners with independent business owners who want to use those tools to build a local business.
Am I an employee?
No. You are an independent business. There’s no supervisor, no salary, and no set schedule. You control how you run your day, who you hire, and how fast you grow, within the brand standards and outcomes described in your agreement.
Do I need to have a business already?
You need to register one before you launch, but you don’t need it in hand to apply. TLG contracts with businesses, not individuals — an LLC or a sole proprietorship both qualify. Plenty of IEPs set theirs up during onboarding; your accountant can tell you which structure makes sense for your situation.
Does my city need to be a certain size?
Our strongest markets tend to be metro areas of at least 250,000 people — that’s generally enough weddings, corporate events, schools, breweries and neighborhoods to keep a calendar full year-round. Smaller markets aren’t automatically out; tell us about yours and we’ll look at it honestly with you.
Can I bring family or friends into it?
Yes, and a lot of the best markets run that way. Weekends get a lot more fun when a spouse, a sibling, or a couple of friends are loading the truck with you, and it turns the whole thing into something the household is in on rather than something that pulls you away from it.
What does it cost to start?
Nothing is charged for access to the program — no sign-up fee, no renewal fee, no monthly platform fee. Your real startup cost is equipment. Most IEPs begin with roughly eight to ten popular games and add inventory as bookings come in, and you get our wholesale vendor pricing and manufacturer relationships to buy against.
You choose your own equipment and suppliers. Buying from TLG is an optional convenience, never a requirement.
Do I get an exclusive territory?
Your market is bounded but non-exclusive. In practice, the shared goal is always for one IEP to own and grow their market long-term. If service needs in a market aren’t being met, TLG may add coverage — but the approach is collaborative first: a conversation and a real plan to help the market recover before anything else.
Who sets the prices?
You do. You set your own rental prices, delivery fees, service area, calendar, booking limits, and lead times.
How and when do I get paid?
TLG collects payment from the customer through the platform and pays your share of completed, collected bookings by direct deposit. Payouts are currently processed monthly, and moving to a faster cadence is an active priority. You keep 100% of tips.
Do I need insurance?
Less than you might expect. TLG expects to carry the general liability coverage for bookings made through the platform, so you are not out shopping for your own policy to get started. You will need a valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance, and workers’ compensation is yours to carry if you decide you want it — particularly once you start paying helpers.
Your signed agreement and its insurance schedule spell out exactly what is covered and what stays your responsibility, and we walk you through all of it before you sign anything.
Can I keep my job, or run other businesses?
Yes on both. Plenty of IEPs start alongside other work. You may use other platforms, serve other customers, and market your own business. Customers and leads generated through Triangle Lawn Games are booked and paid through the TLG platform — that’s what makes them eligible for platform support and coverage.
Can I hire help?
Yes, and we encourage it as you grow. Drivers, helpers, and facilitators are your subcontractors — you recruit, screen, train, and pay them directly. We give you access to a background-check platform and strongly recommend running one on anyone providing services, particularly for events involving children.
How long until I'm taking bookings?
We target service readiness within about 30 days of a signed agreement. That covers storage and equipment, systems training, a full practice run, and your location page going live.

TRIANGLE LAWN GAMES
Please read. The Independent Event Provider opportunity is an independent contractor relationship, not employment and not a franchise. Triangle Lawn Games does not guarantee bookings, revenue, profit, customer volume, demand, or recovery of equipment costs. The revenue-share tiers shown above are a rate formula applied to actual monthly net collected revenue in a market — they are not a target, a forecast, or a promise of earnings, and actual results vary with local demand, seasonality, order volume, accepted orders, and how each provider runs their business. Any examples, historical results, or planning figures are informational only. Markets are bounded and non-exclusive. Insurance coverage, requirements, payout timing, and program terms are governed by the signed IEP Marketplace Agreement and its schedules, which control over anything summarized on this page. Prospective providers are encouraged to obtain independent legal, tax, insurance, and accounting advice before signing.
