Each team (of 2) participates in each event.

Points are tallied and added to team scorecards at the end of each event.

Total cumulative score wins the yard game olympics. In the event of a tie after all rounds, a tie breaker will be played. Recommended tiebreaker game: Cornhole Toss.

GAME RULES & SCORING

Play as many or as few games as you like. We recommend at least 6 different options.

Cornhole Toss

CORNHOLE TOSS (Cornhole Set Required)

4 Players (2 Teams)

Each team gets 8 total throws. Teams get 1 point per bag landing on board, 3 points per bag in the hole, and zero points for throws off the board.

PUTTING CHALLENGE (Putterball Required)

4 Players (2 Teams)

Each team gets 6 total putts. Putts in on the first row are worth 1 point; 2nd row 2 points; 3rd row (furthest back) 3 points.

GIANT PONG SHOWDOWN (Trash Can Pong Required)

4 Players (2 Teams)

Each team gets 6 total throws. Place Trash Cans in a triangle, with the point facing the players. Players stand 12’ from the nearest can. Throws are worth 1 point for the closest can, 2 for cans in the second row, and 3 for cans in the third.

Build-A-Tower

BUILD-A-TOWER (Jenga Set & Hard Surface Required)

4 Players (2 Teams)

This challenge is all about stacking Jenga blocks end to end (long ways). Each team gets 1 minute to stack as many “towers” of 4 Jenga blocks as they can. If a stack falls…they must start all over from the beginning. Each standing tower of 4 after the minute is over is worth 2 points.

Ladderball Challenge

LADERBALL CHALLENGE (Ladderball Required)

4 Players (2 Teams)

Each teach gets 6 total throws. Determine a mutually agreed upon distance to throw from. A successful throw is worth 1 point for the bottom rung, 2 points for the 2nd rung, and 3 points for the 3rd rung.

Yardzee

YARDZEE (Yardzee Required)

4 Players (2 Teams)

Each team gets 6 total rolls. 5 of a kind is worth 8 points; 4 of a kind is worth 5 points; 3 of a kind is worth 3 points; 2 pair is worth 1 point. No other rolls score any points.

Bocce Toss

BOCCE TOSS (Bocce and Hula Hoop Required)

4 Players (2 Teams)

Each team gets 8 total tosses. Stand 15’ from the hula hoop and try to toss the balls to land inside the hoop. Teams receive 2 point for each ball that lands inside the hoop, and 0 for those that land outside.

Buckethead Race

BUCKETHEAD RACE (Bucketball and Cones Required)

4 Players (2 Teams)

There are 4 total races. In each race, 1 player from each team competes head on to race up and around a cone and back, wearing a bucket on their head with a second bucket balanced on top of the bucket. If a bucket falls you must stop to pick it up and replace on top to continue. Winning contestant receive 4 points for their team.

GIANT CONNECT 4 (Giant Connect 4 Required)

4 Players (2 Teams)

There are 2 rounds where teams compete head to head, attempting to get 4 of their rings in an unbroken horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line. A victory in each round is worth 10 points.

HULA HOOP MADNESS (4 Hula Hoops Required)

4 Players (2 Teams)

Each team competes in 2 rounds. In each round, all players start hula hooping; points are awarded for the longest hula hooping as follows:

Longest gets 5 points, 2nd gets 3, 3rd gets 1, last gets 0.

FOOTBALL TOSS (Trashcan Pong and a Football Required)

4 Players (2 Teams)

Each team gets 4 total tosses. Place one Trashcan Pong Can 25 feet away from players. Teams receive 5 points for each toss that gets into the can.

Spikebucket

SPIKEBUCKET (Spikeball and Bucketball Required)

4 Players (2 Teams)

Each team gets 6 total bounces. Place 6 Bucketball buckets in a triangle. Place Spikeball Net 5’ in front of the first bucket (top of triangle). Players bounce balls off the Spikeball net, attempting to get it into the buckets. Bounces are worth 1 point for the closest buckets, 2 for buckets in the second row, and 3 for buckets in the third.
